How to connect to SFTP on game panel

This article will show you how to connect to your game server’s SFTP! This will allow you to upload files bigger than 100MB, and will allow you to move/edit files with greater ease than on the web editor. SFTP is an important aspect of your game server, you can install custom jar, plugins, etc. through the SFTP. Learn more about the best jars and top premium plugins to get a better understanding of what to go for! With that brief introduction out of the way, let’s dive in!

#1: FILE MANAGER

STEP 1
From the front page of the game panel, select “File Management” from the left hand side menu, as seen below. And with that, you’re done. You’re now on your web SFTP client, which can move, upload and delete files under 100MB. If you need to work with files larger than 100MB you will need to use an SFTP client like Filezilla, which is detailed below.

#2: SFTP CLIENT [Filezilla]

STEP 1
Head over to “SFTP settings” on your game panel.

Copy and paste the “Connection address” into the “host” box on Filezilla, and the “Username” into the “Username” box. The “Password” box should be your game panel password and the “port” should be automatically inputted or if :2022 is removed without port then insert 2022. then click “Quickconnect
Congrats! You’re now connected to your files with Filezilla!

– You may need to approve the connection the first time you connect. It’s nothing to worry about, so don’t be alarmed by a big pop-up!
– Click on the icon of a server with a red X to close the connection when you’re done!
– FileZilla is not the only SFTP program you can use, there are many other alternatives including WinSCP and more!
