The below tutorial will show you how to install Forge 1.18 on our game panel, for a manual guide on installing Forge, go here. You can replicate those steps then simply run the bat instead for Forge 1.17-1.18. Without further ado, let us get started on installing Forge 1.18 on your Minecraft server!
STEP 1
Login to the game panel and head to your Minecraft server.
STEP 2
Go to the “Versions” tab. There, we need to first switch to Forge 1.18 EGG!
STEP 3
Then, install Forge 1.18 by clicking on “Install” next to it. Confirm the install and ensure whether or not you want your files wiped.
STEP 4
Simply head to “Console” then click on “Start” to start the server. You will then get a must agree to EULA error, which means you will need to:
Head to File Manager, click on “eula.txt” and change “False” to “True” then head back to console and start it and it will work as shown below!
Concluding,
– Forge 1.18 will require at least 8 GB of ram to run without any mods/players. Ensure to get at least 10 GB of ram to run few mods/players and go much higher if you’re looking to be more mod intensive. This is crucial to ensure no issues occur on your Minecraft server host for Forge.
– Forge 1.17 and 1.18 are installed the same way. So simply replicate the above steps but instead click “install” on Forge 1.17 on the game panel where appropriate.
– Without Forge 1.17 and 1.18 EGGs for the appropriate version you are trying to run, the server will not start and will not work. This is the same if you’re installing it manually.
